Hannah Kozlowski is a MD/PhD student at the University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada). She completed her PhD with Dr. Warren Chan in Biomedical Engineering. During her PhD she designed multi-target nucleic acid tests and developed strategies for improving the translational potential of these diagnostic tests. Hannah won the Canadian Vanier Graduate Scholarship (national award for exceptional PhD students), the Ruggles Innovation Award (for innovative PhD research by an MD/PhD student) and the EPIC Future Leaders Award (for an outstanding thesis in the field of infectious diseases). After her PhD she began post-doctoral work with Dr. Shaun Morris at the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto, Canada) where she is identifying host RNA that are indicative of febrile illnesses and their outcomes. Concurrently, Hannah is completing her MD and is set to graduate 2025.
