Bradley K. Ackerson is a Pediatric Infectious Disease specialist at Kaiser Permanente, Southern California. He is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society. He has helped develop and conduct vaccine safety studies including Phase III vaccine safety and effectiveness studies, several large post-licensure safety and effectiveness studies and studies of the uptake of vaccines and select antivirals among high risk populations and the epidemiology of recurrent UTI in support of the potential development of future vaccines. He is currently participating in phase IV post-licensure effectiveness studies of vaccines designed to protect against outcomes with SARS-CoV-2, herpes zoster, pneumococcus, and influenza. He is a fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Ackerson received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego.
