Dr. Bramante went to medical school at the University of Minnesota (UMN) and did residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics ("Med-Peds") at Johns Hopkins. After residency, she stayed at Hopkins for the General Internal Medicine (GIM) Fellowship from 2016 to 2018. This was a T32-funded fellowship focused on clinical research. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Obesity Medicine.
After fellowship, Dr. Bramante returned to the UMN as a clinician investigator. She conducts remotely delivered clinical trials to improve health in children and adults with overweight and obesity. She has a specific interest in the interaction between adipose tissue and infectious diseases, i.e. Covid-19, throughout the life course.
