Dr. William D. King, a Los Angeles native, established his private practice near his childhood home. He earned a degree in Cellular/Molecular Biology from California State University, Northridge, and a dual degree in medicine and law from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Dr. King completed his internal medicine residency at Harvard Medical School's Cambridge Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. He completed fellowships at UCLA in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program and HIV clinical research. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and a certified HIV specialist, Dr. King is an associate professor at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. He serves on the Los Angeles Commission on HIV and the AAHIVM Academy Council for Racial Equity. A recognized expert in HIV/AIDS, Dr. King has published extensively, led clinical trials, and received numerous awards, including the 2023 Independent Physician Leadership Award. He is married with two daughters.
