Dr. Aikaterini (Catherine) Papamanoli is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Department of Medicine at Stony Brook University, NY. Catherine received her MD from the University of Patras Medical School, Greece, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Athens, Greece, and at King’s College Hospital in London, UK. She has received additional training in Intensive Care Medicine at King’s College Hospital. Catherine then moved to the United States to pursue a career in Infectious Diseases. She completed her Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Stony Brook University and her residency requirements at the Zucker School of Medicine/Northwell Health at Mather Hospital. During her training in the United States, Catherine has authored or co-authored 23 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 25 cited abstracts. She is a manuscript reviewer for infectious diseases and general medical journals. Catherine’s research interests focus on bacterial infections in critically ill patients and novel approaches in the management of bacterial endocarditis.
