Kayla is a Senior Epidemiologist, and the Mpox Epi Unit Lead in the STD Control Branch for the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Prior to working on mpox, Kayla worked as an epidemilogist on COVID-19 at both the state and local level in California. Prior to that, she worked on HPV surveillance at CDPH. She has an MPH in Epidemiology from the George Washington University.
