Dr. Brian Gu is currently a 2nd year pediatric infectious diseases fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Manhattan. He earned his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and his MD from Rugters New Jersey Medical School. He completed his pediatrics residency at Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital. He has a broad interest in hospital acquired infections, including previous work as a resident in CLABSI prevention quality improvement. He currently works with the Institute of Systems Genetics at NYU Langone, investigating the relationship between the gut microbiome and colonization with multi-drug resistant organisms.
