Valéria Paes Lima works as an Infectious Diseases Physician at Hospital Sírio Libanês in Brasília and at the University of Brasília (UnB).

She graduated in Medicine from the University of Brasília in 2004 and completed a lato sensu specialization in Tropical Medicine at the same institution in the same year. She specialized in infectious diseases at the Instituto de Infectologia Emílio Ribas from 2005 to 2008. Master's degree in Infectious Diseases from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) in 2012, in the area of Infections in Patients with Onco-Hematological Diseases and Bone Marrow Transplants.

She is a professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Brasília and has served on the Hospital Infection Control Committee at Hospital Sírio Libanês in Brasília since 2019.
He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Tropical Medicine Center at UnB.

Its main areas of interest are the prevention and control of Healthcare-Associated Infections, correct use of antimicrobials and their monitoring indicators and education of healthcare professionals.
