Dr. Linda Mundy is a physician, epidemiologist, and healthcare advocate who recently joined the New York City Health & Hospitals/Elmhurst as Director, Infection Control and Prevention. Linda began her career with international humanitarian work in southeast Asia which was followed by medical education, internal medicine residency, and infectious diseases fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her career includes experiences in academic medicine, behavioral health, epidemiology, international health, the pharmaceutical sciences, and completion of a doctoral degree in public health with a concentration in epidemiology and behavioral health from Saint Louis University. Linda is a Fellow with the American College of Physicians, Infectious Diseases Society of America, and The Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America, and she serves as a long-standing reviewer for Infection Control & Hospital Epidemiology and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. She is in a dual medical marriage, has three young adult children, and is completing certifications with the Hudson Coaching Institute and the Mindfulness Meditation Teaching Certificate Program.
