Abigail Schulz is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. She completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry at Illinois Institute of Technology. In 2022, she received an IDSA Grants for Emerging Researchers/Clinicians Mentorship (GERM) grant, which enabled her to launch her research on tick-borne disease. Abigail will be applying to residency in internal medicine-pediatrics with aspirations to continue her work in vector-borne disease in the US and globally.
