Dr. Bejoy Maniara, PharmD, MBA, is the Senior Manager of Northwell Health’s Tele-Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (Tele-ASP), a pioneering service he founded to provide expert infectious diseases care across 21 hospitals during evenings and overnights. He also serves as Co-Chair of the System ASP Committee, overseeing the development and implementation of health system guidelines, policies, education, technologies, and various initiatives related to antimicrobial management.
Dr. Maniara earned his PharmD from St. John’s University and his dual MBA in Strategic Healthcare Management and Strategic Business Management from Hofstra University. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Northwell Health: Long Island Jewish Medical Center and his PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in infectious diseases at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Bronx VA).
Dr. Maniara’s post-residency career began as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager and the Clinical Coordinator for Infectious Diseases at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. He then returned to Northwell Health to establish the ASP at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, achieving IDSA’s Center of Excellence status and founding the hospital’s first PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program. He was promoted to Director of the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program and Senior Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Infectious Diseases and ASP. He later transitioned to Northwell Health’s Pharmacy Service Line as Manager and founder of the Tele-ASP.
In his free time, Dr. Maniara enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis and basketball, watching anime, and playing video games.
